Swan Books

Introduced in 2025, Swan Books is the SFF faith-lite imprint at Shaherazad Shelves, encompassing the range of religious expression in fiction, from chapter books to adult novels without the mention of Islam but containing religious themes, plots, or side characters. Its stories can have elements that are not Muslim-friendly (e.g., magic), but must be balanced by monotheistic religious hints or undertones. Swan Books is a middle ground between Sorra Books and Saladeen Books, i.e., "not religious enough" for Saladeen Books yet "too religious" for Sorra Books.

The open period for unsolicited submissions is Oct 4 - Jan 4.
