Saladeen Books

Saladeen Books is the older YA and adult fantasy and science fiction-focused imprint of Shaherazad Shelves. Its goal is to reconquer the Muslim narrative by offering provoking and layered stories featuring Muslims or Tawheed (monotheism) unashamedly, from characters performing daily rituals to reciting hadith. This will build the foundation for Islamicate fiction, reminding readers to follow in the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in being steadfast in their faith—as scholars, warriors, and students—to shape the world for the better.

Saladeen Books does not have an open submission period for manuscripts; you must submit during Shush Books' open call and be transferred into this imprint at the publisher's discretion.
