Iman Zaynab Bajwa is a medical student with a passion for photography and poetry. Born in the US, she moved to the Middle East at an early age and quickly developed an appreciation for different cultures while gaining an outlook she would otherwise never have. Now going to medical school in Pakistan, she’s learning even more about the differences in culture and tradition that make us all unique and hold humanity together.
Iman's forthcoming coffee table book, MUSAFIR, is an amalgamation of all of this. You can purchase her book here. Samiha acquired Iman's work for Shush Books.
Arva Bhavnagarwala is a Dawoodi Bohra pediatrician by day, a writer by night, and a struggling mother to two boys 24x7, based in Mumbai, India. Her short stories have appeared or are forthcoming in eShe, Women's Web, and Woman's Era. She loves to read and travel when not seeing patients or being patient with her little ones.
While reading, she often forgets to eat food or drink water until she knows how the book ends. She prefers chai over coffee and loves potatoes in her biryani.
Her adult romance, A LITTLE BIT OF LOVE, is her debut novel. Samiha acquired Arva's work for Shush Books.
Atiyah Brinkley is a stay-at-home mom and wife passionate about writing stories. She was born and currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, home to one of the largest Black Muslim communities in the United States. She firmly believes that Allah answers prayers no matter the hardship--writing has helped her through a difficult time in her life, and her dream of being an author was answered!
When not writing stories, Atiyah makes content on social media, including book reviews and about her small business Crafts Story.
Her forthcoming book, FLOWER CHILD, will be her debut novel. Heather acquired Atiyah's work for Shush Books.
A. Dawood, born and raised in Montreal, Canada, to an Indian family, currently resides in Chicago. She studied Islamic Theology for five years at Mu’einul Islam Seminary in Johannesburg, South Africa—some of her most inspiring and life-changing years.
When not writing or teaching, and if the weather is nice, you’ll find the Dawood family hiking, looking for woodland elves, and epic views while escaping tantrums and toddler woes (hopefully!).
Her chapter book series, HOLIDAY DILEMMAS, is her first series for older children. Samiha acquired A. Dawood's series for Shush Books.
Patchree Jones is Thai-American and currently lives in Southern California with her husband, two children, and one lazy dog.
As a girl, she grew up watching Thai dramas with her mom and dreamt of being a playwright as a teen. While life took her on a different path, her love of stories never faltered. It takes a fighter to share their vision with the world, and Patchree hopes to blaze the trail for all children to go after their dreams unapologetically.
Her forthcoming middle-grade novel, SKYLIGHT, will be her debut work of fiction in the summer of 2024. Atifa* acquired Patchree's novel for Sorra Books.
