The world is a mosaic of cultures. It has been for thousands of years. Yet too many books fail to provide meaningful diversity and awareness of many of these cultures, specifically those with religious backgrounds. As a Muslim-owned press, Shaherazad Shelves wants to change that. By removing measures that gate-keep many authors from advancing in their writing career (e.g., word count or requiring a "polished" manuscript), we set the standard for a fair chance at publication. We're here to publish amazing stories—and revolutionize an industry one book at a time.
